Ballari Rural Polytechnic is affiliated college started its journey in the year of 2009 which is situated at Kolur Village, Bellary District, Karnataka. This is an AICTE recognized institute that admits students two Diploma courses in technical education for the engineers of the future. Located in a limited area of land of 5 acres, the polytechnic has made the learning atmosphere of students effective and efficient. Currently, the college has 50 students and faculty strength of 13, thus provide better student teacher ratio to ensure proper attention and care in the education process take place in Ballari Rural Polytechnic.

There is also other amenities and infrastructures in the institute to help develop the student learning facilities. It plays a knowledge center and creates a connection to different education-related resources. Departmental laboratories are fully equipped to provide students with practical sessions and engage in activities that they meet in practice after learning theories. The Information technology department in the college to ensure students are up to date with Information technology growth. Also, sport amenities are provided to maintain health among the students, recreational sports and games facilities hence contributing to an active lifestyle among student population.

Ballari Rural Polytechnic host two full time diploma courses, each of three years tenure. The institute offers the Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. These programs aim at offering students the type of knowledge and skill needed in these fields and in general to prepare them for professional careers in the engineering industries.
