BCC Bangalore: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bahadir Educational Trust founded Bangalore City College (BCC) in the year 2000, Bangalore, Karnataka. This affiliated college has been established with the intent of providing a wide number of academic programs in different fields. Based on NAAC guidelines BCC has been accredited and is spread over an area of nearly 2 acres of land with well maintained landscape garden. The college is affiliated with some of the most recongnised bodies like National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Indian nursing council (INC), and Pharmacy council of India (PCI). The total student enrolment of BCC is 701 and the faculty members are 73 and the college has set environment for the students. At the current moment the institute provides 36 courses as a part of 12 degree programs for students with varied interests.

It has various modern teaching aids as a way of supporting the academic activities at Bangalore City College. The college library acts as an information center comprising Reference and holdings in different fields such as Management, Computer Applications, life sciences, and Nursing. Excellent equipments for practical and sophisticated laboratories help students especially those taking science and related technological courses. A special emphasis is made on the college’s IT facilities including a computer laboratory connected to the internet and multimedia, and aimed at familiarising students with computers. For the disabled and disadvantaged students, BCC provides different hostel for boys and girls that are well secured, spacious and well equipped with nutritious meals.

Bangalore City College has a rich and exhaustive course list with total credit courses of 36 across all disciplines. These are full- time undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and diploma courses in KCA university. The various courses offered in this college include Education, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology Computer Applications, Commerce and Management amongst others. Some of the important programs includes B.Ed, D.Pharma, M.Ed, GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery).

The admission process in Bangalore City College is equally meritorious and quite transparent. In the case of programs offered such as B.Ed or M.Ed the admissions are offered as per mark obtained in the qualifying examination and/or merit in the entrance examination as per rules framed by the state government and the University to which it is affiliated to.
