Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering, Wardha, was started in 1983. It is one of the premier institutions in Wardha and Maharashtra. This affiliated college has an area of 18.73 acres, offering various courses in Engineering and Management. BDCE, Wardha, has been proved for its quality education by getting it accredited by the NAAC and AICTE. The institute has a total student enrolment of 1,366 and a faculty strength of 55, making it an ideal environment for learning. Under postgraduation, it has five M.Tech programmes that are Computer Science and Engineering, CAD CAM, Electronics Engineering, Structural Engineering, and VLSI. Almost all these courses are full-time courses; BE courses are for four years, while the M. Tech and MBA courses run for two years.

The candidates for BDCE Wardha will be selected on the basis of rules framed by the competent authority, Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. Based on the scores secured in JEE Main or MHTCET and marks in 12th standard, admission is done for the undergraduate programme in engineering. Postgraduate admissions to M. Tech programmes take into account the GATE scores, while for admission to the MBA course, entrance examinations like MAH MBA CET are conducted.
