Barapada School of Engineering and Technology, Bhadrak: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Barapada School of Engineering and Technology, Bhadrak was set up in 1982. It is an affiliated college situated in Odisha. This is an AICTE recognised polytechnic which provides diploma courses in different branches of engineering. BSET is located over 100 acre land with a total student capacity of 676 besides from having 38 faculty members. At present, the institute offers six diploma courses in the several fields to nurture the engineers in various ways. Because of the college’s dedication to offering technical education, BSET seeks to produce competent professionals capable of satisfying the needs of the market.

Various facilities at Barapada School of Engineering and Technology boasts an array of facilities that makes for enhanced student learning. A valuable component of any college is the library, where students, teachers and researchers find over 32,322 text and reference books and over 115 national and international journals. Students can get CD by IITians, and study material from NPTEL and MIT online multimedia for students. It is usually opened from 8;00AM to 10;00 PM daily on weekdays, weekends and even on public holidays to provide enough study time. For stay our college provides a separate hostel for boys and girls and contains the essential amenities like T.V section and indoor games. It also includes laboratory amenities, Information Technology essentials, food service, athletic facilities, gym, and round-the-clock wireless connectivity. Furthermore, the college operates a transport Department, there is an operating ATM on the college compound, and a health center comes with a first aid section.

There are in total six full time diplomas available at the institute; this diploma takes three years to complete. These courses contemplate on essential careers in engineering namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology. 

The admissions of this institution is by the Diploma Entrance Test (DET) organised by the State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE & VT) & Directorate of Technical Education and Training (DTE&T), Odisha. This entrance examination is a yearly affair and the only route through which interested students can join BSET to study for its diploma programmes.
