Baroda Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Vadodara, established in 1915, is certainly a prestigious and progressive institution for the study and keeping up tradition of Sanskrit language and literature. At the undergraduate level, the college provides Bachelor of Arts in specialised fields like Dharmashastra, Jyotishshastra, Sahityashastra, Shukla Yajurveda, Vastushastra, Vedantshastra, and Vyakaranshastra. Advanced studies are taken care of with Master of Arts (MA) in the same specialisations that further enrich the depth in the chosen field of the student. The college provides a programme leading to a Diploma in Vastushastra with a major emphasis on the traditional Indian system of architecture and design.
