Basudev Degree College, Lucknow was established in the heart of Uttar Pradesh's capital city in 2013 directly as an affiliated institution. This relatively young college, located at Indira Nagar, has made its presence felt in the Lucknow educational scenario. The compact campus of 1.25 acres offers undergraduate and diploma-based courses in various streams. Basudev Degree College, with a total enrolment of 465 students, is backed by a faculty strength of 32 to ensure an intimate, personalised, and academically growth-oriented learning environment.

The mode of admission to Basudev Degree College varies from one programme to another, as the latter offers different programmes. Normally, merit alone decides induction in most undergraduate courses, based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, but the admission to professional courses like B.Ed and D.El.Ed will be according to the policies of the concerned state government and affiliating university and through an entrance examination or any other type of selection process. The B.Ed. course, in particular, insists on merit-based selection that shall consider both the qualifying examination marks and performance in entrance tests.
