Basudev Godabari Degree College came into existence on 1997 and officially affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha as an aided college situated at Kesaibahal in Odisha. This institution consists of four buildings occupying a 4.65-acre campus and provides a variety of undergraduate programmes in arts and sciences. With a total enrolment of student 1,096 and the strength of faculty 17, the college is offering fine atmosphere for higher education. Currently, the institution has 12 courses in 2 degree programmes, which include Education, Political Science, Botany and Zoology and Computer Science among others.

Basudev Godabari Degree College has been designed equipped some additional and unique features to improve the students’ performance. There are fun loving students who give preference to sports and this college provides best sports ground and equipment for them, on the other hand studies lovers have good library for their optimum use. To support such learning, the college offers departmental laboratories. This institution also brings the technological aspect in its modern presentation of IT facilities in learning. To ensure that alumni students do not feel lonely the college promotes an active alumni association. For feeding purpose, a canteen facility is provided separately for teaching and non-teaching staffs as well as for the students. Interestingly, the college offers hostel facilities for the male and female students especially for the students who come from distant place, to enhance on their comfortable living standards.

This degree college provides twelve full-time programmes in total. Which include  BA Hons. Courses and B.Sc Hons. courses. These programmes cut across the Arts and Sciences Colleges and therefore address the need to accommodate varying interests of students. It has total intakes of 1,096 students for all courses put together in the college. It is however challenging to get specific graduation data for the latest year but from the course offer and facilities in the college, educations is evidently offered.
