BCF College of Physiotherapy, Vaikom: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Affiliated college-In present BCF College of Physiotherapy, Vaikom was started in the year 1993 and the college is situated at Kottayam, Kerala. Taking only 0.29 acres of land, this is an institution focused on the delivery of post-secondary education in physiotherapy with two full time programmes. The annual student capacity of the college is 204 and the faculty staff strength is 14; making BCF College of Physiotherapy a specialised college to train physiotherapists. Though small in size, the college boasts of a dynamic physiotherapy programme with a manageable student/faculty ratio that ensures one on one and practical training.

A variety of learning resources have been established within BCF College of Physiotherapy with an intention of improving how the learning process is done and the general welfare of the student populace. They also encourage a healthy lifestyle in the hostels these include Yoga and Fitness regimes, indoor and outdoor games. Extra facilities that are provided for include an assembly hall for conferences and other functions, a cafeteria for the workers, students and a clinic with a provisions for first aid services, and sector wise sports ground for overall personality development of different sectors of the college.

BCF College of Physiotherapy offers two primary courses: Offered programmes are a four year bachelors degree of physiotherapy (BPT), and a master degree in physiotherapy of two years MPT in Musculoskeletal and Sports. These programmes are offered as Day programmes which are consistent with the intensity and practical practical orientation of the institution. The total enrolment at the college equals the intake capacity 204 students: thus, the college appear to keep the class sizes managed and selective for well taught classes.

In its admission policy, this college follows the rules laid down by the Government of Kerala as well as Kerala University of Health Sciences.
