Situated at Guwahati, in the heart of Assam, Beltola College, established in 1983, is a co-educational institution. This affiliated college, stretched across a campus of 1.75 acres, has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The student strength is 853 with a faculty strength of 23. Beltola College offers 9 courses across 2 degrees, majorly in Arts. The college prides itself on offering quality education in diverse fields such as Assamese, English, Political Science, Education, Economics, and Philosophy. 

The college has numerous facilities to aid the learning process of students. At the very core is the Central Library, with a stock of more than 9,000 books, magazines, journals, and e-resources. The library automates its working using SOUL 2.0 software and has access to e-resources through N-LIST — INFLIBNET Centre. For sports and health-minded, it shares a common playground with Dakshis Beltola High School and a gym facility. An indoor auditorium of over 300 people is under construction, which will provide a space for cultural activity and other events. 

The college also has a computer lab with 24 students that provides basic computer knowledge courses to the students of the college and also to the community. In total, Beltola College offers 9 undergraduate full-time courses. This college has several specializations in Bachelor of Arts. The sanctioned intake of students for the courses is 220, which is divided based on different specializations. 

The merit-based admission is the essential admission to Beltola College. Candidates are selected based on academic merit in qualifying examinations.
