The Bengal School of Technology was established on this very day, back in 2006. It falls in the bracket of reputed pharmacy colleges in Hooghly, West Bengal. This affiliated college is NAAC-accredited and runs various pharmaceutical programmes approved by PCI. It falls on a small plot of 3.94 acres, and BST Hooghly has a total enrolment of 517 students with faculty strength of 37. This institute imparts education in 4 courses through 3 degree levels, specifically oriented to different fields of pharmacy education. In essence, BST Hooghly has a male-to-female student ratio of 3:1, spread over a small 3.94-acre area.

BST Hooghly offers a total of four courses in the pharmacy area. It offers two undergraduate programs—B. Pharma and D. Pharma—and two postgraduate programmes in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology at the level of M. Pharma. All programmes are full-time and run for 2 to 4 years. The institute has a total approved intake of 187 across all programmes.

BST Hooghly's admission process involves choosing the best and most motivated students to join their undergraduate pharmacy courses. The institute offers a larger number of students an opportunity for admission at the undergraduate level, mainly through the WBJEE scores. As for postgraduate admissions, they are granted on the basis of performance in GPAT or WB PGET.
