BGS PU College and Science Academy Degree College, established in 2015, is a pristine located in, Chickballapur. It  is an affiliated college in Karnataka, India. This is a co-educational university that holds several programmes in its various disciplinary fields of Science at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The total enrolment of students in the college is 388 and faculty member position/employment at college is 23 thus the college offers small class size. There are 9 courses taught at the institute with three degree programmes offered in different sections of Science such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany & Zoology. Located in Jnanagangothri Campus, Agalagurki the college flows with the vision of delivering quality education in the faculty of science.

The college offers 6 combinations of degree in Physics and Chemistry, Chemistry and Zoology, Mathematics and Chemistry, Chemistry and Botany and, Zoology and Botany at the undergraduate degree level. The two Master level subjects are offered in Mathematics and Zoology and also a BCA Course. The total intake of all the courses which was approved is 450.

On the basis of academics, BGS PU College and Science Academy Degree College admits students into undergraduate programmes without charging tuition fees for their admission. The students who are interested in joining the institution are selected depending on their performance with relevant examinationqualifying tests. For getting admission in the B.Sc programmes, candidates must have a minimum qualification of 10+2 examining and having science subjects as optional subject.
