The Bhagirathi Krishak College Maharajganj was established in 2013 at Bhagirathi Nagar, Bhagirath Pur, Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. College is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) and the college provides a wide variety of undergraduate and professional courses. Located in a small 2.54 acres area the college enrolls 1,782 students in its programs and has 24 faculty members. In terms of programmes, Bhagirathi Krishak College offers five unique degree programmes for students of West Bengal who have different academic passions and goals.

Bk College, Bhagirathi Krishak College has thus a total of five full- time courses in all fields. The college offers undergraduate courses in the fields of arts, science, commerce, education with offering of a diploma in elementary education. They are Vice-Presidential programs which cut across the various disciplines and concentrations/areas of specialization. The programs approved intake is 1,110 for all the courses and this shows that there is always an opening for any learner with a desire to pursue any course within the region. Although specific data about graduates is not available the total strength in the college tally with the intake capacity of the college meaning that all the available seats are being used.

Admission at Bhagirathi Krishak College is relatively structured differently in each course offered at the institution. PR for the B.Ed program is through merit list only depending upon the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or Entrance examination. The college also complies with any other mode of admission as may be prescribed by policy in the state government or union territory administration and the university. Likewise, in case of admissions to D.El.Ed program also admission is fully merit base considering the marks obtained in the qualifying or Entrance test following the Government / UT guidelines.
