Bhagwan Mahavir College of Education, established in 2004, is a co-educational institution situated in the city of Surat in Gujarat with the aim of building the future teachers. The campus covers 20 acres with a friendly atmosphere to learn and grow. BMEF Surat is a constituent college, and the institute is accredited by NAAC and approved by NCTE. The campus has separate boys' and girls' hostels within its campus that provide comfortable accommodation to the out-station students. Well-stacked Library: There are 9,579 books, 11 education journals, and 15 encyclopedias and a seating capacity of 70. The institute has an on-campus cafeteria, health center, with first-aid facilities, and fully advanced IT Infrastructure. BMEF Surat runs two full-time courses in the field of education and admits a total of 250 students. The B.Ed. course fills in the demand for aspiring secondary and higher secondary teachers with an admission intake of 200 students. Continuing further, the career advancement in the field of education, the College offers M.Ed. with 50 seats. The curricula of both courses have a two-year duration with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical training that shape competent educators.
Bhagwan Mahavir College of Education, Surat follows the policy of admission only on the basis of merit, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Admission to this course shall be based on the policy prescribed by the State Government, UT administration, and the University from time to time. It is almost similar to the selection procedure followed based on the merit of the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection process as decided by the state government, university, and UT administration.
