Bhagwandas Shakuntala Devi Women Educational Institute for women was at Badurahiya, Chauri Chaura, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh; it was established in the year 2013. It is affiliated to the NCTE and the institute offers three courses of under graduation. The institute occupies a small area of 1.25-acre with 230 students’ enrolment and 3 faculty members. The institute offers regular courses in Arts and Education with special focus on teaching profession. In order to facilitate student learning the institute provides facilities as stated below. 

Bhagwandas Shakuntala Devi Women Educational Institute plays an important role in enhancing academic activities since it offers the learners a centre that enables them access education ai resources. In terms of the outside mentality best, there is also provision of seats for sports and games, thus emphasising on exercise besides studies. The college also features a departmental based laboratories which gives students practical experience in their tracks. In order to introduce students to the new age, the institute has provided itself with good IT facilities so as to provide the students with the best of IT requirements for their educational use. Furthermore, there is a health centre with first aid facilities on the premises as part of student-oriented care. 

It offers to date three full-scale regular courses in distinct fields of specialisation. Currently, the institute offers only one arts programme at the Bachelors level and two education programmes – Bachelors and D.El.Ed, and the seats for B.Ed programmes for the session is 50 and for D.El.Ed programme also there are 50 seats to be filled.

The institute also adheres to any other procedure of selection provided by the policy of state/UT administration and the university.
