Admission is based purely on merit calculated according to the scores in the qualifying examination (10+2) with regards to subjects important to this program.

Various BA Honours programs are available, such as English (75 Seats), Bengali (75 Seats), History (75 Seats), Philosophy (52 Seats) and Urdu (48 Seats). Owing to merit-based screening, candidates will be admitted to each of these programs on merit of the 10+2 examination.

Mathematics (58 seats), Chemistry (58 seats), Geography (58 seats), Computer Science (52 seats), Botany (48 seats), Zoology (48 seats), and Physics (40 seats) are some of the subjects for which B.Sc Honours are held.
