Bharathi College of Bharathinagara is a pioneer rural college, situated in Mandya district of Karnataka state which was started in the year 1970. This affiliated college which has been recognised by the NAAC is spread over 9 degree and has a multiple choice of 12 courses. Located on a land area of 26 hectares, the overall enrolment in the college is 2,034 students, out of which 942 are male students and 1,084 are female students. The faculties for the institution consists of 64 member faculties and the institution offers Arts, Science and Commerce undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Bharathi College boasts of multiple facilities it has in order to address and improve the learning outcomes of its learners. The library has emerged as an important component, with a total stock of 38,711 books of which 19,312 are undergraduate titles and 2,848 are postgraduate titles. Large, sober air-conditioned fully fitted auditorium bluffing with a seating capacity of 350 target acts as a cultural hall where we can conduct lectures, conferences etc. The college also provides and maintains splendid sports infrastructure, fitness centre, the swimming pool to encourage the students to take care of their health.
Based on the scenario, Bharathi College has provided a student centred education for meeting all the diverse needs of the consumers. It offers 16 courses in its programme, of which five are at undergraduate level and 11 at the postgraduate level. in undergraduate level, there are possibilities to study BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and BBM course, which takes three years to complete. More admission options provided at this college are postgraduate programmes like M.Sc in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Botany, and Zoology; MA in Kannada; and M.Com. These postgraduate courses normally take two years to complete. For the undergraduate programmes, three academic years at the university are normally required to complete their courses. All the programmes are offered as full-time, regular programmes to allow the students acquire in-depth and intensive education in their fields of specialisations
