Bharathi College of Education located in Coimbatore city was started in the year 2006 and is one of the leading Colleges in Tamil Nadu offering training for teachers. This institute is a co-educational college established near the Power Office, Salem-Chennai Main Road, Chinnasalem, Villupuram for shaping future education leaders. Affiliated to National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and functioning as an affiliated college, Bharathi College of Education promises to deliver quality education nestled in a 5-acre campus. Having 146 students and 13 faculty members, the college has a small size of classes able to facilitate student and faculty development.

Bharathi College of Education Coimbatore at present only has one major course – the B.Ed course of study. This course-based course covers two years and is designed to produce competent teachers who can fit the job market. Currently, the college has an approved capacity of taking only one hundred students in this programme to ensure that it sustains the quality of education it offers as it at the same time serves the large number of persons who want to become teachers.
