Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol, was established in the year 1961 as an affiliated college based in Asansol in the state of West Bengal. The infrastructure covers 11 acres and provides undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study, with a total number of 3,206 students enrolled and a strength of 90 faculty members imparting education in various disciplines. Accredited by NAAC, Bidhan Chandra College offers 35 courses across 9 degrees, which are specifically oriented towards arts, science, and commerce. The college has a balanced sex ratio of students with 49 percent males and 51 percent females enrolled at the undergraduate level.

The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls; the latter has one more proposed fresh Golden Jubilee Women Hostel.
