Bijanbari Degree College was founded in the year 1995. This affiliated college is located in Bijanbari, in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. The college offers various undergraduate courses in the stream of Arts from its 5.52-acre campus. The institute has a total of 487 students enrolled and a faculty strength of 17 at present. 

The aim is to continuously try and provide the best possible learning environment for students within the college premises. It has a well-equipped library with a seating capacity for about 50 readers. A generous collection of textbooks and reference books on relevant subjects is available. The library subscribes to different journals, periodicals, and newspapers to enable the students to update their knowledge about the latest developments in the subject. There are facilities for sports of all types and for all students, so this may inspire an interest in physical fitness and extra-curricular activities. An auditorium acts as a hub for a host of events and seminars; these help to keep the campus culture vibrant. Other infrastructure in this direction includes investment in IT setup, including a computer laboratory, so that the students get the most modern technological facilities in operation.

Bijanbari Degree College has a total of five undergraduate courses, all full-time programs. These include four Honours courses in English, Nepali, Political Science, and History, along with a general BA program.
