Bipradas Pal Chowdhury Institute of Technology was established in 1956 at Krishnagar, Nadia, West Bengal. The institute is extended over 7.7 acres of land and stands independently as an individual institution. This technical institution has been granted approval by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It offers a total student enrolment of 630 and has a faculty strength of 25. The four diploma courses are based on different disciplines of Engineering. The main commitment of the institute towards technical education is clear through a variety of specializations such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Science and Technology.

There is a set of facilities intended to supplement the learning experience for the students in this institute. However, in general, the diploma courses consider candidates on the basis of their performance in relevant qualifying examinations.
