Holding the recognition of the affiliated college, BIRDS Bachelor of Social Work College, Belgaum was initiated in 1991 situated at Tukanatti, Gokak, Belgavi, Karnataka. This institution has got the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and specialises in the education of social work. Situated on a sprawling 103 acre campus, the college offers two full-time degree programmes: Baccalaureate degree in Social Welfare and Master of Social Welfare. With total enrolment of 54 students and faculty of 9 members EDUCARE BIRDS College has specific orientation for fostering competent social workers. 

The college has a wide range of resources which are intended to improve the quality of experience in a college and make the academic process all the more effective. The library acts as an information centre with reading section that provides the community with magazines newspapers and periodicals. In regards to technology applications in learning, there is computer with internet connection to enhance learning from as well as to browse for more information. The campus is connected with Wi-Fi which enhances the digital learning process at the campus. Games enthusiasts may also make use of the colleges playground activities that include sporting activities like cricket, throw ball, athletics etc. The institution also embraces the welfare of the students by providing hostels within the compound for both Male and female students, each hostels has a noble of 100 students. These hostels have large, proper ventilated, cooler provisions provided room, and are conducted by proper resident care takers for security assurance.

The BIRDS Bachelor of Social Work College offers students two courses in social work education. The BSW is a three years full time programme the MSW is a two years full time course. Of these programmes, those should aim at providing students with the requisite knowledge and skills for effective career in social work.
