Birosthali Teachers Training College, Chanchal, was established in the year of 2014. Birosthali Teachers Training College is organizing two full-time courses with a student enrolment of 400 and a faculty strength of 25.

The institute has a well-equipped library with more than 4,000 books in stock and a reading room that provides a sitting facility for 150 students at a time to study and do research-oriented work. The Birosthali Teachers Training College has two full-time courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. These courses have been oriented to launch students into successful careers in teaching, sufficient with skills and up-to-date knowledge in both primary and secondary education sectors.

Admission is merit-based, considering the qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination. It follows the admission policy that is as per norms framed by the state government of West Bengal and the university to which the college is affiliated. For the B.Ed. program, the admissions are considered for the candidate based on the merit in qualifying examinations or as per the policy directed by the state government and university. Similarly, in the case of a D.El.Ed. program, admission shall be based on merit in the qualifying examination or entrance examination as prescribed by the state government or UT administration.
