Blue Circle Institute of Fashion and Interior Design, main functioning of the institute is more towards a learning base in fashion as well as in interior designing. It also delivers diploma courses along with advanced diplomas along with degrees in a bachelor's format to gain access to the institution for the people who want to work with a passion for a large-scale in the field of design. Recognition of talent through creative programs on fashion or interior design leads one to admission to the institute.

BCIFID eligibility criteria for programs vary with course level. For diploma courses, candidates who have completed their 10+2 education are eligible. For B.Des in Fashion Design and Interior Design, candidates who have passed higher secondary from any board are eligible for this.

BCIFID does not hold entrance exams or consider scores of specific entrance exams. More than likely, the admission process would revolve around an assessment of the applicant's creative abilities and passion for design. This could be in the form of portfolio submissions, creative aptitude tests, or interviews.

Application Process

"On standard procedures followed in design institutes, the procedure may be as follows:-

1. Online Application : The applicant may directly access the BCIFID website  and fill an online application form and required fields should be filled with the proper personal information along with one's academic qualifications.

 2. Submission of Documents : Applicants are asked to submit some documents which may include,

• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets 
• School leaving certificate 
• Birth certificate
• Passport size recent photographs
• Other merit certificates or co-curricular certificates in design

3. Portfolio Submission: In case if intake for designing courses is available, the applicant is also required to submit portfolio on BCIFID comprising of his/her creative output in the form of sketches or drawings, computerized designs etc.

4. Application Fee: The institute requires an application fee, which needs to be paid by the applicant. Application fees can be made through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

5. Entrance Test or Creative Aptitude Test: BCIFID may conduct an entrance test or a creative aptitude test to check the potential and suitability of the candidate for the selected program.

6. Personal Interview: From the shortlisted, selected candidates will be invited for a personal interview with the reasons for interest in design, future career goals, and presentation of the portfolio.

7. Final Selection: Total output of applicants at every stage of the process would include academic records, portfolio, entrance test if any, and interview form the final list of students to be sent to BCIFID.

8. Admission Confirmation: Selected students shall be admitted and should confirm by making payment for all fees with the submission of other documents, not later than a deadline stipulated.

The application process for BCIFID is designed to identify and cultivate creative talent. Students are invited to demonstrate passion for design during the application process, including experiences, projects, or achievements that have been achieved in the context of fashion or interior design.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Des Fashion Design: It is a three-year full-time undergraduate course under BCIFID. The process of selection in this course is based on finding out students with high interest and potential in the field of fashion design. The candidate should have passed 10+2 education.

B.Des Interior Design: This is also a three-year full-time bachelor's degree. The entry policy seeks students who have a keen inclination towards designing interiors. The program is open to the candidates who have passed higher secondary education.

Diploma in Fashion Designing: This course is designed to provide technical knowledge to the students who intend to gain technical knowledge in designing. The candidate's creative ability and interest towards the field might be considered while admitting the students.

Diploma in Interior Designing: This course targets the students with a desire for a career in interior designing. The admission procedure would seek potential candidates for the area.

Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design: This course is for those who would wish to gain in-depth knowledge and skills in the fashion design sector. Admission can be through demonstration of previous knowledge or experience.

Advanced Diploma in Interior Design: This course is similar to its counterpart at the fashion design side. Its objective is to further enhance a student's appreciation of interior design. Admission would likely assess existing knowledge and the potential of an individual in interior design.
