BMBB Commerce College was founded in 2001 and is one of the frontline institutions in Guwahati, Assam. It is a co-educational compact campus college with an area of 3 acres, aiming to offer qualitative commerce education. This affiliated college has a limited number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in commerce, which helps provide an in-depth education in business and financial career ambitions. The college offers individualized attention and quality teaching with 19 highly dedicated teaching staff.

The facilities in the college are adequate for the students to pursue their learning and development. Library: With more than 2,200 books that include Text Books and Reference Books, the library acts as a very great service to the students in need of help in their pursuit of academics. A well-equipped computer laboratory with internet facilities is provided for students and faculty who are inclined towards technology. Sports facilities and a gym will also be employed to make the college's students physically fit and help them recreate themselves. To build a sense of community and for the convenience of students coming from other places, BMBB Commerce College provides separate hostels for boys and girls that will ensure comfortable stays for the students at the hostel. It also has an auditorium for events and seminars, a cafeteria for refreshments, and a health center with first-aid facilities to take care of the well-being requirements of the college community.

BMBB Commerce College offers three different courses in commerce, all of which are full-time programs. These include two undergraduate courses, one in B.Com and another in B.Com with Management and Accountancy Major, and a postgraduate course in M.Com. The three-year B.Com program has an approved intake of 120 seats and is open to interested students. The two-year M.Com program helps the students to further enhance their expertise in the field of commerce. While the college specializes in a particular stream of study, it does go to assure depth and quality thereof for all-rounded grooming of the student into the competitive world of business and finance.
