BNV College of Teacher Education, Thiruvallam (BNCTE) is an eminent institution for teacher education at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers three full-time courses in education. Candidates having completed their bachelor's degree in the subject concerned can apply for this program.

M.Ed (Master of Education): 50 seats are available for the M.Ed program at BNCTE. The admission procedure for M.Ed is similar to the B.Ed program. Candidates are evaluated on their performance in the qualifying examination (typically a B.Ed degree) and an entrance examination. Any other selection criteria as per the concerned authority can also be included in the selection process. In this way, only the most competent and motivated candidates are admitted to the advanced teacher education programs.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): D.El.Ed at BNCTE also has an intake of 50 seats. Admission to this program is merit-based, depending upon the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance test as per the directions of the state or UT administration. The program is for candidates specializing in elementary education and is usually eligible to those who have completed their higher secondary level of schooling (10+2).
