About Bombay Hospital College of Nursing, Indore

Bombay Hospital College of Nursing, Indore, which commenced in the year 2008, is one of the finest of its kind and is situated in the middle of the Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college is on Ring Road and occupies 7 acres of land to facilitate learning and development of its students. The college is also affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) along with being approval by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The college has a strength of 208 students in total and the faculty strength of the college of 24 which results in intimate class environment. The institution offers four courses in its curriculum.

The college features different kind of modern facilities which are intended to facilitate the learning process in the college. The library has placed textbooks, CDs, dissertations and all reference books for all nursing disciplines. It also includes the subscription to the most popular national and international journals for the student.  Through a well equipped computerised laboratory with internet facilities, the students are made familiar with modern technology. For school facility, Bombay Hospital building has a girls’ hostel on 7th & 9th floor with well furnished rooms with bathrooms and recreational hall. Bombay Hospital College of Nursing also has sporting activities both indoors and outdoors as well as conducts annual cultural and sporting activities hoping to foster the colleges balanced developmental model.

Bombay Hospital College of Nursing provides the total of four full time programmes, one undergraduate programme and three postgraduate specialisations. The basic programme is the B.Sc Nursing in which the college establishes itself well; for the master’s degrees, the college offers Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing. The total approved intake that has been given for all these courses collectively is seventy including the B.Sc Nursing with fifty intakes . From this kind of courses, the students is able to unleash their interest within various nursing specialty areas, thus contribute to the growth of competent health care workforce.

Bombay Hospital College of Nursing has the policy of choosing highly qualified personnel to its nursing courses admission. For both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, an admission is given based on the qualification exam and selection test. This approach provides assurance that only students with the right aptitude and academic background enrol in the programmes. Holders of B.Sc Nursing are the largest group of participants with 50 intakes offered for the course while M.Sc courses have fewer intakes which range from 6 to 8 seats. This structure allows practice-based education intensity especially at the postgraduate level. The college also offers many amenities with a view to help students throughout their college education, medical in accordance with hospital regulations.
