42 MonthsThe 3 year General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) programme is aimed at creating the skilled and competent nurses who put pain staking efforts to discover care and health. The programme lets the students learn to provide the comprehensive medical care to the patients suffering from different ailments. The curriculum of GNM consists of immense knowledge of fundamentals of surgical as well as non-surgical nursing. This programme is run strictly complying with the guide lines of J&K State Nursing Council. The students who have qualified their senior secondary (12th), both male and female with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to apply for the admission of GNM course in any Government or Private Recognised Institute.
10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible for State Open School recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government. However, Science is preferable.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by the Indian Nursing council.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
Registered ANM with a pass mark.
For foreign nationals
The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed above.
