Brajabandhu Mahavidyalaya, Keonjhar is an affiliated college and was established in 1987, located at Akhupal, Keonjhar, Odisha. This institution is a co-educational facility that is located on a vast piece of land of 10.76 acres. The college has a total of 7 courses in five types of undergraduate degrees in Arts and Sciences. The college has a students’ enrolment of 835, and a faculty of 30 members to make sure that the students have the best environment for their education and training.

Modern amenities are provided at the college which supplement  the educational experience. Central to these amenities is the library which from historical perspective has formed the basis of the institution. Open from 10:From Monday to Friday, it is a storehouse of information that develops continuously to satisfy the demand of a wide range of students. Brajabandhu Mahavidyalaya also owns well-developed laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology for the college students so that the students can adopt practical teaching in their departments. There are facilities for accommodation within the college, namely the boys’ and girls’ hostels so that students can comfortably endeavor to live away from home.

A total of 7 courses are taught here at the undergraduate level and all of them are full time courses. They include History honours, Sociology honours, Chemistry honours, Botany honours etc. In addition there normal BA, B.Sc, and B.Com degree programmes.
