BSS Mahavidyalaya, Mau: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

BSS Mahavidyalaya Mau, came into existence in 2006 and is an affiliated college at Ladanpur, Kopaganj Mau, Uttar Pradesh. The institution with 7.904 acres of land has produced a diverse offer including 20 courses across 7 degrees. It has a total of 1995 students enrolled and has a faculty of 26, all in order to support a good learning environment. The School, BSS Mahavidyalaya in its teacher training educational programs, is recognized by the National council for teacher education & Training. Through its courses offered and faculty recruited, the prospect of academic success permeates through the college’s down to the departmental levels through arts, commerce, and sciences. 

The following is a list of features in the college to support the learning structures experience within the institution. It is an important part of an institution as it provides necessary literature related to the field of study. However, technology has been adopted in its operations to meet modern technological developments which include; Automation and RFID/ EM technology. The college also has a large Multi-Purpose Hall with 500-seating capacity and an Open-Air Theater that can sit 300 persons for use in several college activities and students’ events respectively. For academics, the institution is facilitated with specialized laboratory. The Geography lab for example has maps, topographic sheets and survey instruments, while on the other hand the Home Science department educates women and encourages them to be entrepreneurs. 

The curriculum of BSS Mahavidyalaya is quite diversified because it provides its students with a number of courses they need. The institution offers twenty fulltime courses within different fields of specialization. These are; Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of Commerce, Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Masters of Commerce and Masters of Arts in subjects like Hindi, Sanskrit, Sociology and Geography among others. Also, the college provides the D.El.Ed program for the students who wanted to be a teacher. The overall seate capacity as approved for all courses stands at 1,995 students, although the number of seats per program may differ. For example, the BA program had 400 seats and for the B.Sc there were only 240 seats. 

The admission process of BSS Mahavidyalaya is very much an integrated process with main stress on merit basis. As for all the detailed information concerning the admission procedure in individual courses, they are not mentioned; however, following the rules of the parent university, affiliated colleges tend to adhere to the same standards. A number of examinations are accepted by the college for admission although the names of these tests are not mentioned.
