About BBIT Kolkata

Budge Budge Institute of Technology was established in 2009 as a technical Institute located in Budge Budge, West Bengal. The Institute is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council For Technical Education ( AICTE).

BBIT is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam University (MAKAUT) and the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVESD). The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a B+ grade and by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its B.Tech ME, EE, ECE, and CSE streams.

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) Minority Affairs	Rs. 2000 to Rs. 2500 per month	The applicant must be a resident of West Bengal. The applicant must have secured at least 75% marks in aggregate in the last examination of the board, council or university. The applicant must be pursuing a regular course of study in a recognised institution. The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC Scholarship)	Rs. 400 to Rs. 700 per month	Students with orthopaedic disabilities, Blindness, Low vision, Hearing disabilities.
West Bengal Freeship Scheme	Tuition fee waiver scheme	The applicant must be a resident of West Bengal. The applicant must hold a merit rank in Engineering & Technology, pharmacy and architecture. The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
Ishan Uday Scheme	Rs. 5500 to Rs 7800 per month	The students who are studying in 1st year of technical and professional courses. The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh.
