Bundwan Polytechnic, Madhupur was established in the year 2009. This is an affiliated college situated in Bundwan, Dist-Purulia, West Bengal. This technical institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, which becomes an added advantage of providing quality learning to its students in the stream of engineering. The learning environment is focused, with an enrolment of students is 293 and faculty strength of 14. 

The polytechnic has all types of infrastructural facilities for the overall development of students. The campus has well-equipped laboratories as per the departmental requirements and allows students to get practical experience. A dedicated library would serve as the knowledge hub for these students, while the IT infrastructure would keep them connected with state-of-the-art technology. The hostel accommodation is available at the college and can also be availed by students from the opposite gender, who would pursue learning in a safe and appreciable environment. Bundwan Polytechnic offers two full-time diploma courses in highly demanded fields of study in the engineering industry: electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. At this institute, there is a combined intake of 120 students in these two programmes. These two programmes include 60 seats each in the Diploma of Electrical Engineering and the Diploma of Mechanical Engineering. These three-year diploma courses are so specifically designed that they will provide a very solid basis to the students in their respective fields and hence are going to be very helpful in having successful careers either in industries or by pursuing further studies in engineering.
