Basaveshwar Science College at Bagalkot is committee by BVV Sangha founded in 1945 which is a premier institution situated at Karnataka, India. This affiliated college is NAAC accredited which means the college has embraced quality assessment in its learning programmes. Boasting of 1,934 enrolment, 782 male students, and 1,031 female students, the college has solid enrolment diversity. The institution currently has 51 dedicated faculties and offers 10 courses in 6 degree programmes in different fields of science & Computer Application. Basaveshwar Science College distinguishes on a variety of grounds- number of alerted courses, number of departments, efforts to build balanced personality etc.

Basaveshwar Science College  provides learning facilities that have been established to support the learning process of the students. The library and information centre stock a collection of more than one hundred thousand publications necessary for effective study. The students get the privilege of enhanced, equipped and departmental practical laboratory facilities which help them to learn practically. The campus includes an auditorium that will accommodate 350 persons well suited for delivering academic and cultural activities. In terms of student’s comfort there is a canteen where students can have refreshments during a day. Students health is well cared for by the college with a first aid provision in the health centre. Technology is also highly valued here with 250 computers including a computer room to let students learn new technologies. The institution also attends to physical needs of the students through provision of a gym, two large playgrounds and an indoor stadium for sport activities.

Basaveshwar Science College has developed a range programme to meet student needs in order to fulfill their academic dreams. The institution offers ten courses, two of which are undergraduate and the rest postgraduate. Among these are full scale programmes like B.Sc, BCA, PGDCA, M.Sc in Physics, Mathematics and Computing Science along with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
