The Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine, the college, was established in 1914 in Kolkata, West Bengal. This affiliated college has been at the tropical medicine education and research. Extended over a 2.048-acre campus, the college offers medical courses, a total enrolment of 285 students, and a faculty strength of 54. CSTM offers 10 programs in 5 different courses, which vary from Tropical Medicine, Microbiology, Dermatology, and Biotechnology to other such courses.

The college offers 10 different courses that are integrated, full-time courses.These include, postgraduate degrees such as MD in Tropical Medicine, Microbiology, Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy, and Pharmacology, besides a diploma in Clinical Pathology, Tropical Medicine and Health, and Laboratory Technique. It also provides a professional M.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology and Fellowship in Regenerative Medicine and Translational Science.
