Camellia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Burdwan: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Camellia Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2010 by Mr. Ravi Shankar Singhania at Burdwan, West Bengal. The affiliated college, instituted by the AICTE, offers several programmes in engineering. CIET has a total enrolment of 804 students and has 60 members of the faculty. The five B. Tech courses under which CIET offers scholarships focus on engineering in unique areas. CIET follows high quality standards as realized through its modern infrastructure and technical education orientation.

The institute is abounding with many facilities to add comfort to the life of students. The institute library is one of the best college libraries in West Bengal and works as a resource for all the members of the institute. CIET provides separate hostel accommodations for boys as well as girls so that the students can reside comfortably under these sheltered roofs. The campus houses well-equipped facilities, including a gym, range of sports facilities such as football and cricket playgrounds, volleyball and badminton playgrounds, and a cafeteria with seating for 500 people. Other health-related concerns are supported by the provision of a medical center with first aid facilities. Transportation is also available free for the staff, and car arrangements are taken care of in case of emergencies.

CIET offers five full-time B. Tech programs for the entire period of four years. These include Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Correspondingly, each program has an approved strength of 60 students. Therefore, the total number of seats offered under B.Tech programs totals to 300. However, the prime focus of this institute has been engineering education in its course offerings wherein all have been regular and full-time programs.

Admission to CIET is relatively offered on the two major entrance examinations, which are mainly the JEE Main as well as WBJEE.
