The Capital Law College (CLC) was founded in 1982, situated in the central region of the State Capital, Bhubaneswar. Capital Law College aims to provide high-quality legal education to students, equipping them with the necessary skills to understand and implement the intricate procedures of law making.

Capital Law College, Bhubaneswar is recognised as a legal institution in the State of Orissa, offering a three-year LLB course and an integrated five-year BA LLB (Hons) course. Moreover, Capital Law College, Bhubaneswar also provides LLM (Master of Law) as the only PG course. Capital Law College, Bhubaneswar has received permanent recognition from the State Government of Orissa and is permanently affiliated with Utkal University.

Additionally, Capital Law College, Bhubaneswar has been granted permission by the Bar Council of India. Capital Law College LLB admission is based on a 100-point Career cum Entrance Test. A Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) is required for Capital Law College LLM admissions. 

The training and placement cell of the college provides guidance and support to students. Capital Law College placement cell trains students for employment in corporate law departments. Capital Law College facilities include a spacious moot court hall, library, medical aid, auditorium, IT infrastructure and a sports playground.
