The Cauvery College, Gonikoppal was started in the year 1968 is an affiliated college in Vidyanagar, Gonikoppal, District: Karnataka. It is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has many undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. Located on a vast land of 17.71 acres, the college covers the total strength of students and teachers, with 922 students and 41 teachers respectively. The college offer 4 courses under 7 degrees and is given specialized focus to Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Applications. This is demonstrated by the fact that college has well structuredand effective coursework and also modern facilities.

For the overall students satisfaction Cauvery College equips many amenities for various purposes to support learning. A well stocked library is also found on the campus, so that students have access to a range of academic resources. In cate to serve the needs of students who like engaging in sporting activities the college has put in place facilities for indoor sporting activities and gymnasium. It also values technology with good information technology where it has proved very essential for its functioning. 

Possibility to have meals at the college cafeteria is also supposed to be rather enjoyable. The college has well equipped subject wise laboratories for practical know hows. We also operate a health center to cater for first aid emergencies that may occur while students are in sessions. Accommodation facilities also exist in the campus in that the campus has different hostels for boys and girls to enhance their security as they study. An auditorium may be used to host so many programs and seminars as well as guest rooms for the visiting faculty and guests.

Today the college consists of 4 different courses on offer for students including undergraduate and postgraduate courses. These courses are mainly full time, offered in campus mode of delivery. The academic programs aim at satisfying the varying needs depending on each student’s passion and intents in life. 

The admission policy of this Cauvery College Gonikoppal is equally simple in order to ensure equal opportunity for the learners. Hence, the college operates many programs, and all of them have distinct requirements for admittance. Similarly for Under graduate programmes like BA, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Com etc the admission procedure is purely merit based i.e carryings from 10+2 or equivalent examination. Master level course like MA Economics and M.Com need a bachelor degrees with the relevant discipline for admission. 

There are no particular entrance exams mentioned for the college, though the selection criteria might be put as the appropriate standard of the academic achievement and any extra requirements that the college might have.
