Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Vijayawada is a standalone institution created with the objective to focus on petrochemicals and plastics engineering. The institute was established in the year 2015 at Surampalli, Gannavaram, Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. CIPET Vijayawada is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education, ensuring conformity to national norms and standards in technical education. The Institute is presently running 3 full-time courses, out of which 2 are the Diploma programs and one is the postgraduate diploma with a sanctioned student enrolment of 132 and faculty strength of 21.

CIPET, Vijayawada, has a range of modern facilities designed to enhance the student's learning process. The institute library, popularly known as e-Granthalaya, is well stocked with books and periodicals in subjects concerning plastics and its allied disciplines, keeping students up-to-date about technological developments. The best laboratories are available with latest machines, hence offering hands-on practical training to the pupils using working machines oriented with the industry. Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology: Just like the Plastics Technology course, this course also has an intake of 60 seats. The admission procedure is the same, where the candidates have to qualify through the AP POLYCET exam.

PGD Plastics Processing and Testing: The number of seats for this postgraduate diploma is 30. Although there is no information on the admissions, it is possible that the applicants have already graduated in a related bachelor's degree.
