Central Polytechnic College, Tharamani, commenced its operations in the academic year 1946-1947, and is well-known technical institution situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Diploma in Computer Engineering: The admission procedure for this course was 120 seats, with an additional 60 seats in the second shift. The candidates will be scored according to their proficiency in their 10th standard academic performances in subjects of Mathematics and Science.

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: This is one of the broad programs when 160 are for the regular shift while 60 are for the second shift. It has a part-time option for working professionals. Admission is competitive and based on academic merit.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: This course has 150 students in the regular shift and 60 in the second shift. Consideration is on aptitude with electronics and communication technologies for the admission processes.
