The Central Tool Room, Ludhiana (CTR) is an Indo-German project college set up under a bilateral agreement on technical cooperation between the Government of India and the Government of Germany. The college focuses on the development and promotion of the tooling industry in India. The CTR Ludhiana was established in 1980 under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, (MSME), Government of India.
The CTR Ludhiana aims to provide a wide range of industrial support services to small, medium and large-scale industries with a specific focus on tools, dies and other precision components. They have advanced machines for tool development, designing, prototyping, and training.
The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Training (PSBTE). The institute runs short-term and long-term courses in CAD/CAM, Mobile repairing, CNC machining, PLC programming and courses up to diploma and post diploma level.
