The revered Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Nursing (CMPCN) was the first institution with the recognition granted by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. This institution administers all branches of nursing programs from their respective diploma courses, undergraduate courses, and postgraduate courses, as they are capable at every stage of nursing education. Admission system of CMPCN is primarily designed for the selection of dedicated and competent candidates to various nursing programs. Admissions are made each year by the college for B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM), and various pathy in M.Sc Nursing.
The admission for undergraduate programs like B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing are mostly based on the qualifying examination which can be considered by the candidates (10+2 for B.Sc Nursing, Diploma in Nursing for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing). GNM and ANM programs also possess eligibility criteria based on their academic qualifications. Then for specializations in M.Sc Nursing like M.Sc Nursing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Paediatric Nursing are generally given admission for postgraduate courses based on the performance of the candidates in the B.Sc Nursing degree and any entrance tests appeared for.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This program has 30 seats and is meant for registered nurses completing the GNM course. Candidates can apply with a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registration with the State Nursing Council.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): CMPCN offers 50 seats for the GNM course. Candidates eligible to apply are those who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination. The selection of candidates may involve an entrance examination and consideration of their academic performances.
ANM (Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery): CMPCN admits 20 students for the ANM course. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 or its equivalent. The admission will take place based on an entrance exam and merit.
M.Sc Nursing: M.Sc Nursing programs are offered in various specializations by CMPCN, having different capacity intakes:
