Chetana College of Media and Performing Arts has been started in the year 2015 at Thrissur and is designed as a professional college specifically to canvas talents in media and performing arts. This co-education college is situated at Chiyyaram, Thrissur, Kerala; it offers a combination of creative as well as technical curriculum. The college, an affiliated institution, has a faculty of 24 members at present which gives individual attention to the students. Chetana College provides education in media and arts and it comprises 5 courses on two degree levels and it focuses on such specialties as film and television, mass communication, visual communication, graphic design.

Chetana College of Media and Performing Arts has five full-time courses that are up to those of bachelor’s and master’s degree programme. These are the underpart programmes BA in Film & Television, BA in Mass Communication and Journalism, BA in Visual Communication, and BA in Graphic Design and Animation. Advanced studies for the learners are provided by the college through an MA in Journalism and Mass Communication.
