Chilarai College, Golakganj: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Chilarai College, Golakganj was established in 1973. This is a co-educational institution in Dhubri district of Assam, offering different undergraduate courses in its affiliated campus. The institution is NAAC accredited and has a strength of 3,065 students, out of which 1,425 are male and 1,640 are female, within its 8.6-acre campus area. It has a faculty of 27 dedicated educators supporting the institution, offering 10 courses in 3 degree programs specialising in fields of arts and business administration. 

The institution provides various facilities that shall aid in the growth of its students academically and personally, hence trying to provide a conducive learning environment for its students. One of the important amenities is the central library. It provides a book bank facility for students who are economically backward. Besides, each department runs its own library in order to cater to the needs of the students with respect to their respective subjects. In terms of computers, infrastructure is very good, and students are provided with the latest technology for their studies. There are sports facilities and a multi-gym set up in the institution in 2013, with sophisticated equipment managed under the able guidance of instructor Mr. Debobrata Roy. 

Chilarai College offers a total of 10 undergraduate courses, all full-time. These academic products offered at the college include a BA with various majors and a BBA. The intake of students under the BA category is 560, and that for the BBA program is 30. It would design such programs so that students are strongly based in fields of their interest, and prepare them for further studies in those disciplines or apply in job markets. 

Chilarai College has an inclusive, merit-based admission policy. Thus its selection procedure could solely be based on academic performance in qualifying examinations.
