Established in 2015, Christ College of Engineering (CCE) is managed by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) and holds recognition from AICTE, New Delhi. Christ College of Engineering courses include B.Tech programmes in 5 disciplines: civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering.
Candidates need to have at least 45% total marks in 10+2. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their intermediate education. Admission to the CCE Thrissur B.Tech courses is through an entrance examination- Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM), conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE). The placement cell of Christ Engineering College oversees all the placement-related activities and organises campus recruitment drives. Some of the major companies that have recruited students of CCE Thrissur are Cognizant, Robosoft, Amazon, Experian, Tata, Cameron and others. Scholarships are offered to students who have valid KEAM ranks.
CCE Thrissur is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram and offers technical courses at the undergraduate level in the stream of engineering and architecture. Christ College of Engineering offers admission to the B.Tech programme. Admission to the CCE Thrissur B.Tech courses is entrance-based and requires scores of KEAM for admission. After qualifying for the entrance test, candidates must meet the CCE Thrissur KEAM cutoff to book their seats.
As per the selection criteria of Christ College of Engineering Thrissur, the selection of the candidate is based on the merit scores of the entrance exam (50% weightage) and merit scores of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/ Biotechnology in 10+2 (50% weightage). Candidates first have to meet the B.Tech eligibility criteria and appear for KEAM, conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
