Christian Medical and Training Centre College of Nursing, Damoh, a college is started in 2002, is providing nursing education in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college is situated in Marutal, Damoh that comprises of 35 acres of area to provide an appropriate learning atmosphere. In addition, to support the best learning methods and programmes, the institute is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Being committed to offering an all-round nursing education the college provides 7 courses at 3 different levels of degree in the field of nursing and health care.
Christian Medical and Training Centre College of Nursing has made provision for a number of learning facilities which are intended to help students improve on their learning. A formal library is equipped with a range of books, periodicals and professional nursing journals giving students enough reading material for their course work. It has shower facilities and boast of sporting accommodation within and outside the compound. The college also has a good Information Technology Centre to allow the students to update their knowledge with the new developments in the arena of health. For those willing to be accommodated, there are two different hostels for boys and girls respectively where they will comfortable to stay. There is sufficient provision of transport services available in the campus to fulfill the authorised requirements of the students and members of the staff. In addition, the college also have a medical centre to extend the kind of practical exposure as well as medical assistance whenever required.
Christian Medical and Training Centre College of Nursing provides a system of nursing education developed to meet the various students’ needs concerning their desired professions in the nursing industry. A total of seven courses are offered that are both undergraduate and post graduate courses. Till the undergraduate level, the college offers 4 year B.Sc Nursing programme with a limited intake capacity of 40 and 4 year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course with 30 seats. The college offers higher specialisation in nursing through various 2-year M.Sc Nursing courses with an intake of 3 students. Some of the offered masters of science include, M.Sc in Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing, M.Sc in Community Health Nursing, M.Sc in Child Health Nursing, M.Sc in Mental Health Nursing and MSc in Medical and Surgical Nursing.
Entry in to Christian Medical and Training Centre College of Nursing is by selecting the most appropriate candidates for the nursing courses offered. For the B.Sc Nursing and GNM courses, admission procedure through an entrance examination and interview conducted by the selection committee. The entrance test involves a number of objective type questions in the relevant subjects and on general knowledge.
