City Academy Degree College, Lucknow, was established in the year 2006. This is an affiliated college situated in Chinhat, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, spread over 2.13 acres. The institution has risen to be one of the premier educational institutes in the Chainhat area of Lucknow. The college offers 20 courses through 13 different degree programmes, having an strength of 2,311 students. Here, a strength of 76 faculty members, highly committed educators at City Academy, ensures a student-friendly teacher-student ratio that fosters the ambiance of learning. The college provides 20 full-time courses in streams of Arts, Commerce, Education, and Physical Education. Some of the stakeholder programmes among them are B.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.Ed, and M.P.Ed, along with the routine degrees of BA, B.Com, and MA in different subjects. The intake of students in B.P.Ed. is maximum, that is, 200, followed by 100 in B.Ed., thereby clearly indicating the strong focus of the college on teacher education. In both programmes contributing to advanced studies in physical education and education—M.P.Ed. and M.Ed.—40 and 50 seats respectively are vacant for the seeking students. 

The admission process at City Academy Degree College is programme-specific. Admission to the B.Ed and M.Ed courses is on merit to be ascertained based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination, following the in-force policies of the state government and the university.
