City College of Arts and Commerce, Dimapur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

City College of Arts and Commerce is an affiliated college, set up in 1992 in Dimapur, Nagaland. It is a coeducation institution and has a variety of courses in Arts and Commerce for the undergraduate programme. The college occupies a 3 acre area and enrols a total of 828 students and is staffed by 19 committed teachers. The City College of Arts and Commerce offers seven courses in four degree programmes, in such fields as English, Education, Political Science, and Commerce. At present, the college has a broad curriculum that assures it offers quality courses to all students and its goal is to meet the education demands of the community.

City College of Arts and Commerce has been well equipped with various amenities that are considered to have improved or provided improved environment and provision for learning activities for the students. For the students, the library is a core reference point through which they can access most of their academic needs. For those who like active forms of recreation, there is a stadium with all types of facilities for students to achieve the best balance between study and movement. The college also has separate hostels for boys and girls for those coming from other parts of Dimapur to study comfortably. There are facilities with the provision of balanced diet meals from the campus cafeteria, acting as social place for student/staff interactions. The college has implemented high quality IT facilities because the college authorities know the role of modern technologies in the pedagogical process. Also, there is a guest/waiting area for visiting faculty members/student’s' family members; the college demonstrates courtesy to each of its community via provision of this room.

City College of Arts and Commerce has seven courses, which are all day time courses. The college offers four forms of undergraduate degrees in arts and three in commerce. Some of these are general BA and B.Com programmes and honours programmes in English, Education, Political Science, Accountancy and Management.  These diverse courses allow the learner to complete the programme with concentration in humanities or business disciplines to allow them to undertake various careers or continue with their studies.
