City College of Commerce and Business Administration, Kolkata: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

City College of Commerce and Business Administration, Kolkata, is, since 1939, a great institution with a history over eight decades old. Affiliated with University of Calcutta, it has scripted the future of commerce education in its precincts for generations. The college is ISO-certified, associated by the National Assessment, and its campus extends to an area of 1.75 acres, giving its students a concentrated area to use for their education.

The college is known for its high-quality facilities, which strive to create a learning environment for the students to grow personally. In the center of the core building of the college is the library, a very large room, with provisions to read through its contents and also to lend books. In the library contains a vast stock of curriculum-oriented books, journals, and heritage publications satisfying the commitment of the college to comprehensive learning. This holistic vision of the college toward health and well-being can be gauged from its general health center, which is run in the name of 'St. John's Ambulance.

City College of Commerce and Business Administration offers two full-time undergraduate commerce courses that can intake 2,032 students in total. The major course of the college is B.Com Accounting and Finance (Hons) with a program of 908 seats, followed by the general B.Com program with 182 seats. Both the courses are of the durations of three years meant to shape the base of a student in commerce and business administration. It is ably backed up by a faculty of 27 members, two-thirds of whom are full-time, thus assuring a relatively pleasant student-teacher ratio.
