The CMS College of Education, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India is one of the premier institutions in teacher training which was started in the year 2008. This is a co-educational institute under a university, recognized by National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) having especializations in teaching field. The college is located on a small piece of land of 1.6 acres; this provides for a college with a niche concentration on education. CMS College of Education has an aggregate student enrolment of 200 and the faculty strength is composed of 16 members which ensures that all students be given ample one on one interaction with the teachers as the college has an enviable student teacher’s ratio.

CMS College of Education is also started providing quality facilities in teacher education through its B.Ed programme. This is a two-year full time course that purposely has been set to equip the student with all he or she needs to be a successful teacher. The college has an approved intake capacity of 100 seats for B.Ed program, which shows its concern towards quality education side by side to the large number of teachers who want to enter into the teaching profession. CMSCE is open to student enrollment based on merit list submitted to the college by state government, UT administration, and the university to which this college is affiliated. They are selected based on the qualification examination and or the entrance examination that the intending students undergo.
