Coalfield College of Education, Burdwan: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Coalfield College of Education was established in the year 2014, located in Pandaveswar, Paschim Burdwan, West Bengal, India. This is a co-educational institution with the prime motto of building future teachers. Being an affiliated college, it has approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE, and hence stretches across a grand 63-acre campus. Coalfield College of Education has a total student enrolment of 200 and a faculty strength of 16 faculty members, providing a focused learning environment to aspiring teachers.

The college has plenty of facilities set up toward enhancing the learning experience of its pupils. At the center of such facilities will be a library that houses approximately 5000 volumes. It is thus the students who are offered access to well-stocked resource centers with a diversity of books and articles on subjects, journals, and copies of daily newspapers for reference. At Coalfield College of Education, the B.Ed. course is the primary program. This is a full-time two-year course with an intake of 100 students, approved by the Council. 

Admission at Coalfield College of Education is made purely on the basis of merits, taking into consideration marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination

It is not only academics, but beyond that, Coalfield College of Education works for the all-around development of students. The campus of the college functions as the centre for different outdoor games like football, cricket, and volleyball. The annual sports events are also conducted here, which supports physical fitness and inculcates team spirit among the students.
