Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad is a college founded in the year 1999 which is the Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad. This affiliated college of Cochin University of Science and Technology is located in Alappuzha, Kerala and has been preparing students for future of engineering for more than two decades. Located in a dynamic City of Mombasa, Spread over an area of 40 acres, CUCEK hosts 1000 plus students and offers Rigorous engineering programmes. AICTE has acknowledged this college which maintain its quality of education and the curriculum at par with the industry requirement. Pursuant to the above recruitment CUCEK has qualified faculty of 19 members and thus facilitating small lecture classes resulting to a very effective student to staff ratio.

Cochin University College of Engineering can proudly present a wide list of equipment providing top-quality educational environment for students. For research purpose the library offers national and international print journals and e journals for the users. Sports lovers get a home in the college as it has a strong sports facility to host the cultural and sports festival ‘SATTVA’. The college boasts of sophisticated it infrastructure to guarantee its students are up to date with the current technologies. CUCEK also provide reasonable hostel facility for both male and female students, thereby providing them with a home like environment in learning.

CUCEK is currently delivering seven courses at two degree levels and as such serves a cross-section of students’ interests. The college offers 6 full time B.Tech courses including Information Technology ,Mechanical and civil and 1 full time MCA course for the fulfilment of the changing world of industry. The total approved intake for these courses is 360 students annually, and it shows that the college provides quality education and intake of a huge number of would-be engineers. 

The admission process of the CUCEK is mainly depends on the Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test also known as CUSAT CAT. This all-inclusive test determines the academic ability and accrued subject knowledge of candidates to let only deserving students get admitted into the institution.

CUCEK also boasts of its effective alumni base, because the college produces outstanding and relevant academicians. The Alumni Association of CUCEK has a major responsibility to facilitate the interface between existing students and experts from the field. Alumni meetings are held more often allowing ‘role models’ graduates to discuss their contribution and success stories as well as to share newly acquired knowledge with their colleagues.
